Essiac Tea and Children
Children can take essiac tea, but the dosage must be altered depending on the child's
bodyweight and the child's health condition.
Essiac tea is safe for children of all ages. However, be sure to modify the dose according to the child's bodyweight and the
child's level of health.
Here is a guide to the correct essiac tea dosage for children:
If your child weighs up to 15 lbs.,
USE 1/2 oz. of tea once per day for maintenance dose,
or 1/2 oz. of tea twice per day for aggressive dose.
If your child weighs 15-35 lbs.,
USE 1 oz. of tea once per day for maintenance dose, or 1 oz. of tea twice per day for aggressive dose.
If your child weighs 35-55 lbs.,
USE 1 1/2 oz. of tea once per day for maintenance dose,
or 1 1/2 oz. of tea twice per day for aggressive dose.
If your child weighs 55-85 lbs.,
USE 2 oz. of tea once per day for maintenance dose,
or 2 oz. of tea twice per day for aggressive dose.
If your child weighs 85 lbs.-110 lbs., USE 3 oz. of tea once per day for maintenance dose, or 3 oz. of tea twice
per day for aggressive dose.
If your child weighs 110 lbs. or more, USE 3 oz. of tea once per day for maintenance dose, or 3 oz. of
tea three times per day for aggressive dose.
